The 2022 Stratford District Council Citizens Award recipients with Mayor Neil Volzke.
The Stratford District Council Citizens and Youth Citizens Awards nominations are an annual celebration and have been part of the fabric of our community for over 30 years.
They identify local champions in our community who have shown leadership, inspiration, or dedication to a cause, contributing to the overall wellbeing of our district.
Our district is full of go-getters, doers, supporters, helpers, organisers - you name it, we have people in our community that will put their hand up and do it. We love celebrating these people and invite you to nominate your local champion for a Citizen Award or Youth Citizen Award.
Nominations are open now and close on Friday 26 May 2023. Successful recipients are announced in July 2023, with a celebration ceremony held early August.
Nomination forms are available to download below, or can be picked up from the Council offices and the Stratford Library and Visitor Information Centre.
These awards seek to recognise our local champions, people who reside in the Stratford District and have, through personal leadership, inspiration, or devotion to a cause or causes, made a significant and positive contribution to the well-being of the district and its citizens.
Nominations for the 2023 Citizen Awards open on Monday 1 May and close on Friday 26 May 2023.
These awards seek to recognise young people between the ages of 12 and 24 years who reside in the Stratford District, and have, through personal leadership, inspiration, sacrifice or devotion to a cause, made a significant and positive contribution to the well-being of the district and its citizens.
Nominations for the 2023 Youth Citizen Awards open on Monday 1 May and close on Friday 26 May 2023.
2018 saw the inclusion of a new award category – the Outstanding Citizen Award. This new award recognises outstanding achievement, be it through longevity of service, a past award recipient who has continued to service the community, or someone who has contributed an outstanding service to our community.
