Emailed invoices + direct debit = easy way to pay your rates!
We've issued invoices for the latest instalment of rates, due on 30 August 2023. Did you know there are ways you can make paying your rates nice and simple?
Go paperless and get your rates invoice by email
Visit Stratford.govt.nz/RatesByEmail and complete the short online form to get your rates invoice sent straight to your inbox. Going paperless saves us money too, which helps to support lower rates.
Pay by direct debit
This is a great "set and forget" option. With a direct debit arrangement, you don't have to worry about remembering to make your payment. Your rates will automatically come out of your chosen account. To set up a direct debit authority, download the form at Stratford.govt.nz/PayingRates
We're here if you need a hand
If you have any questions, give us a call on 06 765 6099, email StratfordDC@Stratford.govt.nz, or come and see the team at our Service Centre on Miranda Street.
Check your eligibility for a rates rebate!
If you're a residential ratepayer on a low income, you may be eligible for a maximum $750 partial rebate on your rates.
The government sets the criteria and rebate amounts. If you meet the criteria, you can apply for a rebate on your rates bill for the year from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024. You must return your application to us by 30 June 2024.
Visit Stratford.govt.nz/RatesRebates for links to eligibility information, the rates rebates calculator, and application form.
