Getting Here and Around

Finding your way around Stratford and District is a breeze. All routes are clearly signposted and the vibrant rural town is only a short distance to Hawera (25 minutes), New Plymouth (25 minutes), Inglewood (15 minutes). The mountain ring road (Opunake Road to Wiremu Road) from Stratford to Okato takes about 45 minutes, providing up-close and personal mountain vistas from a different perspective. From here it is a short drive down one of the many arterial roads to the coast and Surf Highway 45.
Whangamomona is located on the 'Forgotten World Highway' about an hour away, over four high-country saddles with superb views and scenery.
There are several points of interest a stone's throw away for sightseers, gardeners, walking enthusiasts, historians, photographers and coffee lovers. A wonderful way to spend a day or two.
