Alert Level 3 and 4
TSB Pool Complex is CLOSED
Alert Level 2
TSB Pool Complex has the following operational changes:
Contact tracing
Contact tracing is done on an iPad at reception, or via the NZ Covid-19 Contact tracing app. Visitors must sign out upon exiting.
Operating Hours
During COVID-19 Alert Level 2 the TSB Pool Complex will close at 12.30pm on Saturdays, and will be closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.
Facility limits
To meet with the Level 2 restrictions there will be a limit of 50 patrons within the facility at any one time.
Face covering
Please wear face coverings when not in the pool, especially in the changing rooms. All TSB Pool Complex staff will be wearing face coverings.
2m physical distancing
Level 2 physical distancing rules apply pool side, and in the water. Please be mindful of your surroundings.
Spectators/supervisors
Only spectators who need to actively supervise children under 8 years will be allowed in the facility.
Changing rooms
It is preferred that all pool users arrive and leave the facility in their swimwear.
However our changing rooms are available to use if necessary. Please note the showers in the large changing rooms will not be available. The individual family changing room are the only showers that may be used.
Please wear a face covering when in the changing facilities.
Group fitness classes
Group Fitness classes will continue to run at Level 2. Bookings essential using the below links.
Wai Play Parent and Child sessions
Wai Play classes will restart in Term 4. Bookings are essential though this link.
Structured swimming only
Following the Ministry of Health, and the NZRA guidelines, our facility will only be available for structured swimming such as lane swimming and programs such as flyers swim school. No leisure swimming until further notice.
Lane swimming
Lane swimmers are restricted to the below times. Bookings are essential through this link.
- Monday 6.00am-3.30pm
- Tuesday 6.00am-3.30pm and 6.30pm-7.30pm
- Wednesday 6.00am-3.30pm
- Thursday 6.00am-3.30pm and 6.30pm-7.30pm
- Friday 6.00am-3.30pm and 6.30pm-7.30pm
- Weekend to be confirmed, please check with the Pool directly.
Learn to Swim Guidelines
There will be some changes to the way that we do things. This is due to the different measures that we need to have in place to keep everyone in our community safe.
Overall Swimming lessons can go ahead from Monday 13 September with the following public health measures in place:
Physical distancing
- We will be limiting the numbers of people in the building to accommodate physical distancing rules.
- When in the water, swimmers must keep a 2m distance from other lessons happening at the same time.
Entrance
- Everyone over the age of 12 please have your face covering fitted prior to entering the facility.
- On arrival, please sign in and use the hand sanitiser provided.
Parents bringing their children to lessons
- It is recommended that only one parent brings the child that has the lesson and no multiple children to observe. This will help keep the numbers in our facility at a safe level.
- We would appreciate if over 8s can come into the facility by themselves.We encourage parents to stay in the car during their lesson
Remainder of Term 3
- Your missed Term 3 admissions will be credited to your account when you sign up for Term 4.
- If you have cold or flu like symptoms such as a cough or sore throat, please stay at home.
- All equipment and surfaces will be wiped down after each use.
- Equipment use is limited so that our team is able to clean after each use.

Changing facilities
- We encourage customers to come ready to swim and avoid the changing rooms. Go home in swimwear where possible. If you need to use the changing rooms please wear your face covering and keep a 2m distance from others.
- Showers and toilets are closed in the large change facilities. Pool side toilets are still available and disabled/family change rooms are available upon request. This is to ensure they’re cleaned after each use.
At level 2 there is no recreational swimming before or after your lesson.
Private lessons
Private lessons will continue as this is considered structured swimming.
Birthday party bookings
During Level 2 Birthday Party bookings cannot go ahead. TSB Pool Complex management will be in contact if your booking is affected.
Canteen
We will continue to sell packaged goods and bottled drinks.
Alert Level 1
TSB Pool Complex operates business as usual.
- Hand sanitizer is available at reception
- Please continue to sign in at reception either using the Covid-19 Tracer app or signing in on our i-Pad.
We ask if you are feeling unwell, are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, have Covid-19, or are being tested for Covid-19 then please do not enter our facility.
In the event that we transition back into Covid-19 Level 2, please review our operating changes for Alert Level 2 below. Please note these are subject to change.
