In Stratford district and not connected to council’s water network?

We’re asking households, schools, farms, and organisations that are not connected to Council’s water network to complete a survey so we can plan for the future water needs of our entire district.

If this is you, please complete our survey online at Stratford.govt.nz/WaterSurvey before 29 March.

The survey aims to identify how many properties are supplying their own drinking water, where their water supply is from, any risks to the water supply, and any concerns residents have about future access to safe drinking water in the district.

Survey responses will help inform our Assessment of Drinking Water Services, which is part of our reporting requirements under the Local Government (Water Services) Act 2025. This assessment will be publicly available from 1 July 2026.
