Warning - Stratford Patea River Swimmers

UPDATE 25 January 2019: Swimming warnings have been lifted and signs removed from the following swimming areas.  

Harmful bacteria has been detected in the Patea River affecting recreational swimming areas within King Edward Park and Windsor Park.

Water contact may be harmful to humans and animals.

Please contact the Stratford District Council on 06 765 6099 or check www.stratford.govt.nz before you swim to see if swimming warnings have been lifted.
