Celebrate Shakespeare during April

You’re invited to be involved in and celebrate the month for matters Shakespearean!

The Stratford Shakespeare Trust with support from Council, Stratford Business Association and local businesses are celebrating Stratford’s connection to William Shakespeare with a Shakespearean Market Day on Saturday 24 April 2021.

Alongside the market day, the Trust is encouraging local groups, organisations, businesses and families to participate in Shakespearean activities for the month of April.

William Shakespeare’s birth and death dates are recorded as both being in April, and April celebrations for Shakespeare are set to become an annual event on Stratford’s community calendar.

Activities you could do to celebrate Shakespeare include:

• A Shakespeare themed party
• Learn a sonnet that matches your house number
• Have a medieval banquet
• Watch a Shakespearean movie
• Read one of Shakespeare’s famous plays
• Quiz your colleagues and family members on all things Shakespeare
• and much more!
