Chunuk Bair Commemorations in Stratford

Stratford Mayor ecstatic about major funding announcement

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s visit to Taranaki today has brought great news for the Stratford community.

The Prime Minister has announced $10 million of funding to the Stratford District Council for the new pool development ($8 million), and the Children’s Cycling Education Park and half basketball court at Victoria Park ($2 million).

Funding and jobs announced for Stratford District road safety projects

This week Regional Economic Development Minister Shane Jones announced $1.12 million for road safety projects in Taranaki - with $770,000 of this secured for the Stratford District.

District Mayor, Neil Volzke says this funding is a huge win for our community. “As well as improving our roads, this funding injection will create nine jobs across five projects.”

TSB Pool Complex to reopen Tuesday 19 May

We're pleased to announce that from Tuesday 19 May, the TSB Pool Complex will be open to the public.
