The Centre provides a range of free promotional material primarily related to the Stratford district and New Zealand in general. The Centre also provides commercial booking services, act as an Automobile Association touring agent, provides drivers licence and vehicle licensing services. Promotes Department of Conservation material relating to the national parks and offer a range of tourist related items for retail sales.

The Information Centre operates every day except for Christmas Day.
