In November 2016 Stratford District Council approved the draft version of the King Edward Park Management Plan which looks to set the future direction of the park. This plan is now available for public comment.
“King Edward Park is one of Stratford’s most popular reserves used for both, passive recreation and organised sport. Now that a list of proposed actions has been compiled we are asking residents to help us prioritise these,” says Acting Chief Executive Sven Hanne.
Mr Hanne says, “King Edward Park has a key role to play in the revitalisation of the town centre and the plan is part of Stratford 2035 – Making it real work.”
The plan is available from Council’s website www.stratford.govt.nz, the Stratford Library, i-SITE and Council’s Service Centre on Miranda Street.
Consultation closes on 17 March 2017.
